Arlette Gold spotted in a collection of earrings inspired by “Hoop Enthusiast” Daisy Edgar-Jones

There is only one thing more exciting than being featured in Vogue: being mentioned in a Vogue feature inspired by Daisy Edgar-Jones, the woman everyone is talking about, the lead actress in the BBC’s TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s bestselling book, Normal People.

Normal People has been the hit drama of lockdown and Edgar-Jones has become an overnight global sensation. Experiencing the success from home, she has promoted her huge career moment over the phone and via Zoom, from her north London flat. "It's awfully strange, because I'm just sat in my bedroom," she says. "There's all this mad stuff happening and I'm just, like, in my bedroom. It is a bit odd."

Edgar-Jones is a “hoops enthusiast”, according to her stylist Nicky Yates and earrings have played a big part in navigating a world of waist-up Zoom dressing. We have seen many an interview with her rocking a pair of hoops, and so we are delighted to see our A Weathered Penny Alma Hoop Earrings as one of “33 pairs of timeless earrings to elevate your wardrobe à la Edgar-Jones”.
