Where do you find inspiration?
All sorts of places! Sometimes my ideas start from a simple shape or form, and other times it comes from experimenting with new materials. I love interior design, art and architecture which definitely feeds into my inspiration and aesthetic choices.
What is your “go to” piece of jewellery at the moment?
I love the Corbero Earrings in mother of pearl.
Do you have a morning or evening ritual?
I’m not very good at getting up in the morning so I'm often in a rush to get to the studio. When I’m not rushing around, I like to cook a bowl of porridge and have a cup of earl grey tea. In the evening I often work very late, but when I have some time I go to the pottery studio or a yoga class.
What is your earliest jewellery memory?
When I was a teenager I made a chunky wooden necklace out of my childhood building blocks.
Do you have a favourite quote or saying?
My tutor at university always used to say “do what you’re best at”. When I’m designing new things, I like to remind myself of this.
What is your idea of “a perfect Sunday”?
A lie in, brunch with my fiancé, reading a magazine in the sunshine and dinner with a group of friends.
Which country is next on your bucket list?
I’m visiting India for the first time in October which is very exciting. Otherwise I would love to go to Japan.
What is your favourite food?
I love Middle Eastern meze.
