Where do you find inspiration?
In the testing of materials.
What is your “go to” piece of jewellery at the moment?
A pair of my Bismuth earrings. Bismuth is a metal with a low melting point - just above 271°C - which allows me to install a heat factor into my jewellery. The oxidation of bismuth changes it's colour (it's stunning) and I believe this change in temperature reflects the wearer's emotional state, transforming the jewellery into an emotional symbol. I am obsessed with heat.
What is your earliest jewellery memory?
A gold Snoopy necklace, which was a gift from my Grandma.
Do you have a favourite quote or saying?
"Get busy living or get busy dying."
What is your idea of “a perfect Sunday”?
Afternoon tea with family.
Which country is next on your bucket list?
What is your favourite food?
Uni (sea urchin gonads - popular in Japan), oyster vermicelli, sugar roasted chestnuts and Tapas.
