Designer Spotlight: Simona Brunozzi Moro and Steffanie Brown of Laviandbelle
Where do you find inspiration?
Simona: Travelling... and from any interesting item on my journey - I designed a luggage charm on a train to Dulwich, attracted and inspired by some antique luggage.
Steffanie: In Morocco and India.
What is your “go to” piece of jewellery at the moment?
Simona: Multistar necklace.
Steffanie: Our London multistar necklace!
Do you have a morning / evening ritual?
Simona: A soya cappuccino and I check my phone to see if we received orders from Australia.
Steffanie: I have two coffees and skim through two newspapers - the Times and the Herald Tribune.
What is your earliest jewellery memory?
Simona: My grandma's pearl double string necklace - my eight cousins and I now all have pearl earrings and charms, in different designs, so our grandma is always with us.
Steffanie: I used to make pins out of Fimo (clay) when I was 10 years old. I still have a few!
Do you have a favourite quote or saying?
Simona: "La vie est belle... Laviandbelle."
Steffanie: "Carpe diem."
What is your idea of “a perfect Sunday”?
Simona: A big gathering with all my family for lunch in the countryside (I am Italian!).
Steffanie: Reading the newspaper beside our fireplace with a cup of tea.
Which country is next on your bucket list?
Simona: I went to a trade show in Holland and now I want to visit all the little villages with my teenagers.
Steffanie: Japan.
What is your favourite food?
Simona: Again sorry I am Italian... Mediterranean fresh food.
Steffanie: Caprese salad.
