Make and Curate at 50 Golborne Road

We are popping up again! This time, our mean-time home is on London’s Golborne Road, a vibrant street market on the northern edge of Notting Hill. We are at 50 Golborne, a gallery founded by Pascale Revert with a mission to investigate the convergence between contemporary art, design and craft.

For one week only (June 28–July 4) we will be showcasing some of our favourite designers who create their work by hand. These pieces are sustainable, slow-fashion and artisanal; each ring, bracelet or earring tells a story. Find out about the processes used by each designer, their ethics, and their inspirations. All of our designs have a backstory and meaning.

Five other brands will be sharing the space. This is a chance to support independent, local makers and businesses. We can’t wait to meet you all!

Essen

Co-founder Marre Muijs aim is to make timeless, sophisticated shoes that are accessible for all and never fall out of style. This is high quality footwear without the premium price tag. All Essen products are designed in London and entirely handmade in leather in Italy, Portugal and Spain, and are gorgeous from heel to toe tip.

Indoi

A newly-launched clothing line, Indoi’s pieces are not only super-comfortable and versatile, but the company has impeccable ethics. Their production story is conscious, thoughtful and transparent, created by craftsmen in Pakistan. Find relaxed kimonos, dresses, jumpsuits, wraps and kaftans to take you from beach to bar, garden to street. The company was founded in 2018 by designer and fashion industry insider Mallika Chaudhuri, who works closely with her master pattern cutter and embroiderer aunt, Maheen Khan, who is based in Pakistan.

 Lotts Potts

Potter Lottie Harpey started making her creations as a hobby, after spending seven years running the styling department at Marks and Spencer. Her hand-thrown and glazed pots are colourful and artisanal, all finished with her trademark gold stroke. Hard-wearing, solid, cheery and beautiful. What more could you want from your plates, jugs, cups and bowls?

Sophie Hawkins

Ergonomically designed to liberate motion, Sophie offers clothing to play in, work in and to live in. Ethically produced, using only 100% natural cloth, all her garments are created to endure. These are to be storied garments; pieces that proudly show their heritage and use, pieces that evolve with the wearer.

Wilder Botanics

Naturopath and herbalist Rachel Landon was inspired to create her herbal botanic range by her children and love of healing plants. Created from the finest wild, organic, energetic ingredients, in small, hand-made batches using no preservatives, her range is entirely sustainable and recyclable.  Incorporate the healing benefits of herbs into your daily life.
