Spotlight on a designer: Kayleigh Carter

Describe your jewellery aesthetic to us.

Minimal and classic. We always like to follow trends but in our own way.

What can you see from your studio window?

Busy London streets lined with trees.

What inspired your last design?

I wanted to make pieces that were more of a statement to add to our core collection this season. I have been influenced a lot by nature and using softer shapes like the Asymmetric Oval.

Who is your style icon?

I don't have a style icon. I love an effortless look with basic oversized shapes. I find more inspirations from random people in the street rather than a celebrity.

What’s your favourite place to go on holiday?

I love a city break the most. I like to absorb all the culture and visiting old towns and learning about their history. I do like a beach for a day or two, but then I get itchy feet and just want to explore!

What’s your favourite concert of all time?

I love going to gigs when I can, but fail to get to many these days! The best was probably a Glastonbury when A Weathered Penny had a stall. It was a great mix of pleasure and work.

What’s your favourite film of all time?

The Wicker Man 1973 - I have a bit of a dark side.

What’s your favourite drink?

During the day mint and green tea; in the evening Jack Daniels or gluten-free Beer.

What’s your desert island dinner?

I would catch myself some fish and have a seafood platter on the beach.

Where’s your perfect place to shop?

Cos and & Other Stories are my go-to for clothes.
