Rachel Jackson London creates jewellery with attitude. From her punk-inspired collection, with its iconic studded hoops, to her cheeky personalised earrings, every piece bears out Rachel’s mantra; ‘She believed she could, so she did’. Her work dangles insouciantly from the wrists, lobes and around the necks of celebrities including Nicole Scherzinger, Katy Perry, Rita Ora, Fearne Cotton and Jessie Ware and has been featured in magazines including Vogue, Elle, Stylist, Grazia and Stella.

Lancashire-born Rachel cites “a modern-day girl” as her main inspiration. “She’s the girl about town you can’t help but notice: her style is effortless, her vibe authentic. She shops for unique, hard to find accessories that express her personality and – in an increasingly homogenous world – her thrill is in finding something that tells a different story."

Rachel graduated from university and worked in the music industry for ten years before setting off to travel the world, on what was to be a year-long life-changing trip. In Argentina she stumbled upon a necklace in a boutique in Palermo, Buenos Aires – a mid-length vintage gold chain featuring a floral oval pendant and coloured beads. “It was the first piece of jewellery I fell in love with – and I wore it to death” she says.

A month later, in Brazil, she met Cinderela Brancante and Ale. Rachel recalls, “Never in my life had I met anyone that loved life and made the most of it, like they did. Ale could sail a boat, fly a plane, play the guitar, Cinderela was a lawyer, had travelled the world, designed her own stunning house, and made beautiful jewellery too. They learnt and achieved everything by teaching themselves – by reading books and having the passion and courage to follow all of their dreams.” Rachel stayed with the family and Cinderela taught her how to make jewellery, sitting for hours at a time. The seed was sown and the dream born.

Returning to the UK in 2006, Rachel quit her job to pursue her passion, crafting jewellery from her kitchen table and selling from a market stall in Spitalfields. Inspired by Brazil, exotic creatures and insects, she launched her first brand “Cinderela B”. It was an instant hit and stockists began to stock her worldwide. In 2009 she was selected by Goldsmiths as one of their eight Best of British designers; in 2011 she was named a “next generation entrepreneur” by Economia Magazine; and in 2014 she collaborated with Liberty of London to create a collection of bracelets using Liberty’s iconic prints.

In 2016 she launched her second label – Rachel Jackson London – the brand we stock. She now employs a team of graduates, all from creative fields; “a super talented team all of whom are passionate about jewellery and design” and they work together from her studio in East London.

Rachel is keen to keep as much of her making process in the UK and the majority takes place in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham and her studio, the rest in India. Materials are sourced in the most ethical way possible.

We adore stacking Rachel Jackson London pieces; her passion for jewellery spills out of every collection, and we love her affordable prices too!
